After picking you up around 08:00 am, we will start this day trip to Essaouira to discover one of the secret jewels of the Atlantic coast. On the way, you have the chance to visit an argan cooperative where the local women work hard to get the oil from the Argan nuts. Argan oil is used in cosmetics and a range of Moroccan recipes. After visiting the cooperative, we will continue our excursion to Essaouira hoping to find some of the nomads on the way with their goats climbing the trees. Once we reach Essaouira, you can hire a local guide to explore the city or you can do it on your own. Unlike the other medinas of Morocco, Essaouira is easy to walk through, and the city will win your heart from the moment you step on its streets. By walking in Essaouira, you'll discover the Portuguese fortifications, Bab Laalouj the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter) harbor with its fishing port, and Kasbah La Scala which was built in 1765 for defense against attacks. After visiting, you can enjoy a seafood lunch on the terrace of one of the local restaurants. Once you finish your visit we will be heading back to Marrakech taking the same road, we will reach Marrakech around 6:00 pm.
The average temperature is around 18 ° (January) and 22 ° (July). The sea temperature varies from 17 ° to 21 °. The rainiest months are January, November, and December.
- You might not have the chance to see the goats on trees. - You'll be discovering Essaouira on your own.
