The first day of the tour begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech.
Shortly after leaving the city, we’ll drive through the beautiful High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi N'Tichka Pass (2,260 meters above sea level). We’ll make a few stops along the way to take photos and enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains, deep valleys, and small traditional Berber villages.
Our next stop will be Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic fortified village sits on a hill next to the green Ounila River. It is one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and has been the backdrop for many well-known movies and TV shows, such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, Gladiator, Jesus of Nazareth, and Game of Thrones.
After exploring the kasbah, we will continue our journey to Dades Valley. On the way, we’ll pass through the Skoura Oasis, the Valley of Roses near Mgouna (famous for its rose products), and several traditional Berber villages.
Accommodation Options:
Standard: Hotel Kasbah Didis or a similar hotel

Today we will travel from Dades Valley to the Sahara Desert. Our journey begins with a visit to the lush oasis of Tinghir, where we'll take a relaxing walk through the impressive Todra Gorges. These steep canyons are lined with palm and olive trees and are a favorite spot for hikers and climbers.
As we continue, we’ll drive through several scenic oases, including Tinjdad, and pass by small traditional Berber villages like Mellab and Touroug. Along the way, you’ll see desert landscapes slowly transforming into the wide Saharan plains.
We’ll then enter the large Tafilalet Oasis, known for its date palms and historical significance. After that, we’ll cross the black volcanic desert plateau called the Hamada before reaching Merzouga — home to the famous Erg Chebbi dunes, the tallest sand dunes in North Africa.
Once we arrive in Merzouga, you’ll check into your hotel and have free time to explore the area. You can take a short walk through the village, relax, or climb the nearby sand dunes to watch the magical desert sunset.

Standard: Hotel L'homme du désert or a similar hotel
Superior: Hotel Riad Madu or a similar hotel
The third day of this 6-day tour will be an exciting off-road desert safari in a 4x4 vehicle. Our journey begins with a visit to the seasonal Merzouga lake (if it has water during your trip). Here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the golden dunes with birds like flamingos nearby.
Next, we will visit a small village called Khamlia. The people here originally come from Sudan and Mali. You will be welcomed with traditional mint tea while listening to their special African drum music called Gnawa.
After Khamlia, we will stop at a viewpoint where you can see golden dunes on one side and the Algerian border on the other. Then, we continue the off-road trip through the Black Desert, an area covered with volcanic rocks.
We will visit Nomad families who live in traditional Berber tents and care for goats and camels. You will meet the family, learn about their daily life, and enjoy a warm cup of tea.
Later, we return to Merzouga. Here, you will ride camels across the dunes to reach the desert camp. At the camp, you can watch the stunning sunset over the dunes and try sandboarding if you like.
After dinner, enjoy traditional music around a bonfire under the starry night sky.
Accommodation Options:
Standard: Mouhou Standard Desert Camp or a similar camp
Superior: Mouhou Luxury Camp or a similar camp
The same as the 3rd day, today we will go off-roading again—this time deeper into the desert to visit a completely wild and untouched oasis. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Tessardmine, a small Berber settlement made up of about 15 traditional mud-brick houses. It sits on the edge of one of the Sahara’s most fascinating natural landscapes.
After exploring Tessardmine, we will continue driving through the black desert towards the Moroccan-Algerian border. When we reach the oasis, we’ll take a peaceful walk to explore its hidden corners. Eventually, we’ll arrive at a large palm tree, the perfect spot to lie down and relax in the shade.
We’ll enjoy a freshly made barbecue meal at the oasis. After lunch, you can rest or even take a short nap while enjoying the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the empty oasis before we drive back to Merzouga.

Next, we will drive through the beautiful Anti-Atlas Mountains, enjoying breathtaking views of the vast, rocky desert landscapes.
Along the way, we will pass through:
Alnif, a small town known for its Henna gardens and fossils,
N'kob, a green oasis village surrounded by palm trees and traditional kasbahs,
and Agdz, a quiet village located at the edge of the Draa Valley, which holds Morocco’s longest river.
By the end of the day, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the "Gateway to the Desert," where we will spend the night.
