Your tour will begin at the grand Royal Palace (Dar el-Makhzen), where you’ll see its stunning 14th-century golden gates—a perfect example of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Although the palace itself is not open to the public, the intricate designs and massive doors make it a must-see.

Next, you’ll visit the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, a sacred site dedicated to the founder of Fes and a key figure in Morocco’s Islamic history. While non-Muslims cannot enter the tomb, the surrounding area is full of lively markets and religious significance.

A short walk away is the Mellah (Jewish Quarter), where you’ll learn about Morocco’s Jewish heritage. The quarter has narrow streets, old synagogues, and a unique blend of Moroccan and Jewish architectural styles.

Then, you’ll step into the Fes Medina (Old Town), a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world’s largest car-free urban areas. Here, you’ll explore traditional marketplaces (souks), where artisans sell spices, leather goods, and handmade crafts. A highlight is the Chouara Tannery, where leather has been dyed using ancient methods for centuries. You’ll also visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, a beautiful 14th-century Islamic school with detailed tilework and carved wood, and the Fondouk el-Nejjarine, a former merchant inn that is now a museum of wooden arts.

After lunch, you’ll leave Fes and drive toward Chefchaouen, a picturesque town nestled in the Rif Mountains. The journey takes about 3.5 hours, passing through scenic mountain roads with stunning views of valleys, forests, and small villages.

Upon arrival, you’ll take a short walk through Chefchaouen’s famous blue-painted streets, where every corner is perfect for photos.
